Yao Ming a retired Chinese NBA star and one of China's Wild-Aid's most influential ambassadors, with the Animal Planet, "Saving Africa's Giants with Yao Ming" was nominated for Outstanding Nature Programming.

Saving Africa's Giants premiered joining together with the launch of Ivory Free, a worldwide awareness campaign and partnering between WildAid, Animal Planet, African Wildlife Foundation and Save The Elephants.
Yao Ming (Originally from Shanghai ) visited the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust's in Kenya, known as the Nairobi Elephant Orphanage, where he supported the fight against Rhino Poaching in Africa.
